Ever since Jarrod was a young boy, his father, Jerry had him on a tractor or bulldozer. Jarrod took an affinity to it.

Jarrod decided when the Nation called, to join the United States Marine Corps and served as a driver/ machine gunner during Operation Iraqi Freedom in the Al Anbar province or Iraq in 2005/2006.

Jarrod was injured while deployed and when he got back home, he medically retired from the Marines and went back to supervising a grading crew with Palmetto Land Clearing and also worked as a crane operator for Local 470 out of Graniteville, SC.
